Mercury in Gemini
During the evening on the 13th of June, Mercury will enter its own sign Gemini for a quick three week stay. The last time Mercury traveled through Gemini was during May and June of 2008. That time because of retrograde motion, Mercury was in Gemini for roughly a six week period.
Now Mercury did stick its head into Gemini for a couple of weeks in May. It then turned retrograde and went back into Taurus. Now it’s coming back at full speed for a 21 day stay in Gemini.
This time the action of Gemini is going to be swift and direct.
When Mercury is in Gemini, we are especially communicative and sociable. Under this influence we could talk, talk, talk and talk. It may seem like we are always on the move, going from one place to another.
Mercury in its own sign favors logic and learning. Things that we learn now is information gathered on a superficial level. Also, communication flows more freely and you are able to put your ideas into meaningful words. Mercury traveling in this sign corresponds with important decisions or the formulation for plans in the future.
The energies of Mercury in Gemini are often scattered so this can be a period of time when we are easily distracted. It could be difficult to give attention to any one matter for an extended period of time. Also plenty of nervous energy at this time.
Social activity could lend itself to short distance travelling. There could be an increase in communications with siblings and those living within our immediate environment.

Neptune
At the end of last month Neptune turned retrograde in motion. It will remain that way until November of this year. I thought it would be a good idea to write a little something about the planet.
The mysterious Neptune is the eighth and second most distant planet in our solar system. Neptune is a giant of a planet and is more than 4 times the size of Earth. It is the most perfectly spherical of all of the planets.
It takes the great planet about 165 years to make one complete trip around the zodiac. It has yet to finish an entire journey since its discovery-less than 150 years ago. Like its sister planets, Uranus and Pluto, Neptune is generational in its effects and influences.
In astrology, Neptune is associated with all that is hidden in nature. It is dissolution, untruth, deception, illusion, fraudulence, deceit and imitation. Neptune works in a nebulous manner. With this planet things are seldom what they appear to be,
Neptune is a higher octave of the planet Venus. Like Venus it governs love, but on a much higher spiritual level. Neptune is universal unconditional love. The epitome of Neptunian love can be found in the story of the martyrdom of Jesus Christ. He who died for the sins of the world.

Venus (and Mars) in Taurus
On the last day of May, Mars entered the sign of Taurus. Now, on June 6, Venus will join Mars in that sign. With this double shot of this steadfast sign, now is the time to concern ourselves with practical, down to earth matters. There could be a desire to be more grounded and act methodically in matters ruled by Venus. This transit of Venus is of added significance because Venus rules the sign of Taurus.
Venus is very comfortable in the sign of Taurus. Comfortable to the point slowing down quite a bit to enjoy the nicer things that life has to offer. Good food. Fine wine. Anything that appeals to the senses. Just be careful not to take it all to the point of overindulgence.
You may find yourself spending money on things that are aesthecially pleasing. Fashion, art, furniture and any kind of home décor. On the opposite side of the spectrum you could find yourself putting some monies away for a rainy day.
Lest we not forget that Venus is the planet of love. If you are in a relationship tangible and physical expressions of love are in order. If you are looking for that special someone, now could be the time to zero in on any potential lovers. Do watch however for a tendency to be a little too possessive under this influence. This is especially true now as Mars is also traveling through the sign of ruled by Venus.

The New Moon, Mercury and Pluto
On Sunday May 31st we will experience a New Moon in Gemini. This New Moon could be extremely important because it comes on the tail end of a month long period of Mercury being retrograde in motion. Mercury turns direct on the 30th, a week after the lunation. When Mercury turns direct it goes over the ground it covered during the retrograde period and the weeks preceding it while the planet was travelling in direct motion.
Plans and activities that began during the direct period could have hit a snag during the month of May. When the planet moves forward, those plans and activities can proceed unhampered by the Mercury retrograde influence.
If changes or adjustments were not made during May they will be made during the next few weeks as Mercury travels over the ground it initially did roughly between the dates of April 23nd to May 6th. Changes and adjustments are the keywords here. This is especially significant because the New Moon on the 31st will be inconjuncting the planet Pluto. Inconjusts are the aspect of necessary adjustment. This transit will help facilitate that action and help to be an instrument of modification, alteration and adaption during this lunation period.

The twelve signs of the zodiac can be broken down into different groups according to some basic characteristics. The first means of classifying a particular sign is by the element that the sign belongs to. There are four basic elements: fire, earth, air and water. Each element contains three signs. Signs that are of the same element are compatible in nature.
The fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. These signs are fiery in nature. They are positive, aggressive, enthusiastic, spontaneous, ardent and creative.
Next are earth signs; these signs are practical and down-to-earth. The earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. They are pragmatic, conservative, dependable, resourceful, mundane and reliable.

The Sun and the Moon
In astrology the Sun and the Moon are two of the most important parts of the natal chart. Both are extremely significant because they provide much information on the basic makeup of an individual. Their placement in the natal chart can indicate some significant aspects of ones over-all personality.
The sign that an individuals Sun was in at the time of their birth is the most significant aspect of the natal chart. The Sun is the basis of our life here on earth. We could not exist without it. In astrology the Sun represents the very core of our existence. The Sun sign describes ones basic reaction to life. It is our true inner essence. The Sun in the natal chart also indicates what a person is striving to become. On the other hand, the Moon represents what one may be striving to overcome. Pluto in Capricorn
(Viva La Revolution)
Back in 1968 John Lennon was singing “You say you want a revolution, well you know, we all want to change the world”. Well, the man did have Moon in Aquarius. Some forty years later that revolution may well be on its way.
This year, in January, Pluto entered Capricorn. This summer it will shot back into Sagittarius for a final little visit before it renters Capricorn in November. It will remain there until January 2024. That’s a pretty fair amount of time.
Last time Pluto was in Capricorn it had yet to be discovered. It was there between 1762 and 1778. During that time there were two great revolutions going on in the world, the French and the American. Previous to that Pluto had a stay in Capricorn from 1516 until 1533. It was during the period that Martin Luther rose up against the corrupt and powerful Catholic Church leading to the protestant Reformation.
I don’t think I need to ask anybody if we need a change in our ecomic or political system in this country. It is written on the face of every American. These are serious times we are currently living in. This presidential election is like one we have not seen in our lifetime. Not only is there a chance of having a woman in the oval office, we could just as well have a black man. And this is just the beginning of it all.
As Pluto travels through Capricorn, we can expect transformation in the areas of life that the sign governs. Government, corporations, financial institutions, churches. Capricorn has domain over the very structures of our world. Buildings, bridges, tunnels and other infrastructures. Those frameworks that keep our society in order and functioning like a well oiled machine
Pluto is the planet of transformation. When the planet transits a sign it leaves a trail of ruin in its path. It demolishes all things that have outlived their usefulness and are no longer relevant. This will cause reformation of corrupt outdated systems within government and the economy.
By the time Pluto is done with its stay in Capricorn the world will be ready to greet the altruistic nature of Aquarius. This in turn will turn our attention to humanitarian concerns. That will be an even greater step in the evolutionary process of mankind.
I welcome Pluto’s stay in Capricorn. It is long overdue. Like I said before, “Viva La Revolution.”
